  Google DeepMind published Genie 4 on 27 October with native audio and no hard specifications at all: no resolution, no frame rate, no parameter count, no paper, no benchmark. Ninety minutes later two researchers published a faithfulness metric for world models and found high task reward does not imply a model has learned its environment's dynamics. And a 560B MIT-licensed model landed with a context window its own config does not support.
